Lori’s Regional Vice President, Eric Harrison, said that during the shop’s preliminary soft-opening and Meet and Greet, there was overwhelmingly positive feedback from staff, guests, and patients. The gift shop has a small footprint, but a mightly presence in the hospital, he noted, saying, “From the start, the administrators and staff at Kendall have welcomed us so enthusiastically, exceeding our expectations. We are thrilled to share a helpful, positive, symbiotic relationship, and look forward to growing together.”
During the Grand Opening, Lori’s Hospital Partner and Executive Resident Administrator, Rahat Verma, praised the shop’s layout and amazing variety, and the professionalism of Lori’s team members. He said, “We are so excited to have Lori’s as a part of our family!” That enthusiasm is shared by Lori’s District Manager Tina Felton, who said, “In my nearly ten years with Lori’s, this is one of the most rewarding openings, due in large part to the warm welcome we received from the hospital staff from beginning to end.” Administrators and staff also expressed their appreciation that Store Manager Monica Gaytan is bilingual and wonderful with guests.
For over 40 years, HCA Florida Kendall Hospital has been expanding and improving, and has grown into a major Level 1 Trauma hospital and teaching facility with more than 1,700 employees. The hospital has been nationally recognized as a Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospital.
