COLUMBUS, TN. (September 25, 2024) — The Maury Regional Health Network hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbus, Tennessee on Wednesday, September 25. Since the new retail location’s doors officially opened, Lori’s Store #665 has seen a steady sream of medical staff, patients and visitors flowing through its doors. Guests said they were impressed with the store graphics that were personalized to the community of Columbia, and others commented on the large selection of snacks and the quality of “lovely” baby products.
Katie Gettis, Lori’s Vice President of Corporate Development said, “I am beyond elated to share that Maury Regional Health is now part of the Lori’s Brand! This Gift Shop has a beautiful story attributed to how it has impacted not only the hospital, but the local community for decades. Lori’s is honored to have a presence within this hospital and continue to uphold the longstanding legacy of the gift shop. I am grateful for this continued growth in this market, as this marks our 11th location in Tennessee.”
Lori’s District Manager, Dan Kuehn, said, “We are very excited to have our newest Lori’s Gifts location inside the Maury Hospital. Our assortment of baby products, gifts and seasonal items like Halloween have been very well received from the hospital staff.” He went on to add, “We have heard so much positive feedback today!”
The hospital’s Volunteer Services Director, Cindy Short, stated, “Hospital gift shops brighten the day for patients, families, and caregivers who are going through stressful times with a slight respite, whether it be stopping in for a snack, talking to our compassionate staff, or just looking around to get their minds off an illness for a few minutes.” Ms. Short continued, referencing the hospital’s beloved former Auxiliary Charter Member, Dot Sowell, who served 67 years, “Our hospital believes in mind/body/spirit healing, and I think Lori’s Gifts will continue to brighten the day of those in need, just like Dot, and contribute to the healing process.”
