HOUSTON, TX. (February 15, 2025) — Lori’s Gifts was proud to participate in the 22nd Annual TexasMedRun on February 15, 2025, in the Texas Medical Center. Hosted by the Harris County Hospital District Foundation (HCHD Foundation), this USA Track and Field certified event brought the community together for a 10K run, 5K run/walk, and Kids 1K, all in support of Harris Health’s Heart Health Initiative.
The TexasMedRun is more than just a race—it’s a community-driven event that promotes health and wellness while raising vital funds for heart health programs. Participants of all ages came together to run, walk, and show their support for Harris Health’s mission of providing essential education, outreach, and preventive care for heart disease. Families, hospital staff, and local businesses gathered to celebrate the cause, with lively music, themed activities, and a strong sense of unity throughout the day.
Embracing the event’s Mardi Gras theme, Lori’s Gifts joined in the celebration by handing out festive masks and beads to approximately 150 children.
