Lori’s Gifts was proud to take part in Yale New Haven Hospital’s annual Looking Forward Virtual Golf Event, a meaningful fundraiser benefiting Smilow Cancer Hospital. The event, which has become a cherished tradition within the Yale New Haven community, continues to raise funds and awareness for integrative medicine and complimentary services that support patients throughout their cancer treatment journey.
Last year’s virtual event raised over $53,000, directly supporting programs that offer comfort, healing, and strength to patients receiving care at Smilow. This year, Yale New Haven Hospital aimed to build upon that success, continuing to enhance patient support services and experiences.
The Looking Forward Program has previously funded a wide array of impactful services and amenities, including:
- Amenities carts stocked with comfort items for patients undergoing treatment
- The HOPE bracelet program
- Virtual yoga classes via Zoom
- Postsurgical mastectomy bras
- Massage chairs, refreshment carts, and relaxation rooms for the Smilow Breast Centers
- The Beyond Beauty program, which supports patients’ emotional and physical recovery
Representing Lori’s Gifts at the event were Tracy Sicard, Area Vice President; Andrew Dutka, Market Director; and Diane Ferrucci, Store Manager of the Lori’s Gifts location inside Yale New Haven Hospital.
Lori’s Gifts offers a wide range of practical and enjoyable products, providing a convenient and pleasant shopping experience for patients, families, hospital staff, and volunteers.
